The New Patriotic Party, NPP candidate for Awutu Senya East Constituency Mavis Hawa Koomson has lost to NDC Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor in the 2024 elections. 

Provisional results show the NDC candidate has won the seat despite violent turn of events after the collation of results. Two supporters of the NDC PC lost their lives in an open gun fire from Hawa Koomson camp.
